The 2021 GEBCO Symposium will be held virtually from Paris, January 11 - 15, 2021.

Hosted by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO and the French Naval Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOM)

The GEBCO Symposium on Bathymetry is an annual event bringing together the world’s leading experts on ocean floor mapping. It is attended by governments, researchers, explorers, students, industry and emerging technologists.

This year's Symposium sessions will be held virtually along with GEBCO's annual meetings. Attendees are welcome to participate in the meetings of GEBCO's Sub-Committees on Ocean Mapping (TSCOM), Regional Undersea Mapping (SCRUM) and Outreach & Public Engagement (SCOPE) also held during this week.

About GEBCO and Seabed 2030

Seabed 2030 is a collaborative project between the Nippon Foundation of Japan and GEBCO. It aims to bring together all available bathymetric data to produce the definitive map of the world ocean floor by 2030 and make it available to all. Find out more and get involved.
