JAMSTEC announce seabed 2030 contribution

The Japan Agency For Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) have announced an exciting new research program "Mathematical Seafloor Geomorphology". One of the aims of the program is to establish a method to create a high-resolution seafloor topography from the existing low-resolution data by super-resolution using machine learning technology. Output from the program is expected to be contributed to the Seabed 2030 Project.

Find out more about JAMSTEC's contribution to Seabed 2030 through providing data and helping to 'map the gaps' using ASV- Deep Sea AUVs formation system and deep sea terminal technology.
