The General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) grid is available as a Web Map Service (WMS) – a means of accessing geo-referenced map images over the internet. These maps can be viewed in a web browser or Geographic Information System (GIS) and incorporated in your own web application.

It is intended to remove access to the current WMS URLS during week of 15th April 2024. We are extending this from the 28th March.

The WMS layers for the global GEBCO grid can currently be accessed from: https://www.gebco.net/data_and_products/gebco_web_services/web_map_service/mapserv?

This will change to: https://wms.gebco.net/mapserv?
