TCarta, Seabed 2030 and Marine Institute summer interns produce 40,000 km² of SDB in just eight weeks
As the summer-long internship in satellite derived bathymetry (SDB) facilitated by TCarta, and hosted at the Marine Institute of Memorial University, comes to a close we want to highlight the significant data contribution by the students who took part in the programme.
A total of 39,304 km² of 10m-resolution SDB were produced in four areas of interest, including the Coastline of Somalia, Mosquito Coast, the Galapagos, and islands of the Lesser Antilles. This bathymetry will be contributed to Seabed 2030, as was last year’s internship results in Madagascar, Newfoundland and the Canadian Arctic.
